Time – Pink Floyd (1973)

Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
You fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way
 — Roger Waters

Time - Images of clocks

I’m putting a schedule together setting up specific times to work on things, thinking that will get me organized and into a routine.

The truth though – that also gives me an excuse not to work on the things I should be working on. I can work on them tomorrow, today I’m working on my schedule to help me get things done.

Putting something down on the schedule gives me such a feeling of accomplishment. It’s like I actually did something.

Music Submissions

ZZ Top – I heard it on the X – Gruene Hall, New Bruanfels Texas (2019)

https://youtu.be/adnNrK11pu0?si=5q4K9Lks_ATpg-Md

At the station, I get way too many emails with irrelevant music submissions mixed in with a large amount of “business opportunities”, website crap, fake invoices, and people who claim to have incriminating videos of me.

If you are using one of these ridiculous music submission services, you probably aren’t reading this. On the other hand, if you are an artist that wants me to take a look at some of your music – in your submission put the subject in the following format:
NTRadio Music Submission – Artist/Band name

I personally wouldn’t recommend paying a music submission service that sends unsolicited, mass-mailed music requests. You’re wasting your money. It’s not just me, most stations probably just ignore them. They’re a waste of time. In my case, even if I played it, it wouldn’t increase your exposure. My station is a niche station. While I don’t have a ton of listeners, the average time that my listeners stay connected puts the major stations’ averages to shame.

For personal submissions, it’s all about the music.

If I choose to add your music to the NTR playlist, I’ll let you know. If I don’t get back to you, please don’t take it personally.

If I’d been out till quarter to three
Would you lock the door?
Will you still need me, will you still feed me
When I’m sixty-four?

Yesterday, today was tomorrow
And tomorrow, today will be yesterday

So ring out the old, ring in the new
Ring out the old, ring in the new
Ring out the false, ring in the true
Ring out the old, ring in the new
